Katelyn Bertsche is an actor and singer currently based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is in the final semester of her senior year at Taylor University and will graduate with a B.A. in Theatre Arts and a minor in Applied Music (Voice) in May 2024.

As a multi-faceted creative, Katelyn is passionate about storytelling and seeks to create joyful, impactful, and beautiful art alongside others. Most recently, Katelyn finished her run as Hannah Ferguson in The Spitfire Grill and is excited to be in rehearsals for her next show, Disney’s Newsies, as a Nun/Bowery Beauty. In December, she was given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join Ginna Claire Mason onstage to perform “For Good” at Edge Mentoring’s Christmas at the Farm event in Indianapolis. Katelyn has also been seen as an ensemble member in the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre’s production of The SpongeBob Musical, where she developed a deep appreciation for the impact that quality community theatre can have.

When not on stage, Katelyn often works in the various areas of theatrical costuming. She most recently served as the costume designer for The Spitfire Grill and has spent much time as a stitcher and wardrobe supervisor, where her organizational skills and attention to detail allowed her to thrive.

Outside of the theatre, Katelyn can be found immersing herself in the world of a good fantasy or sci-fi novel, spending quality time with her friends and family, or playing with her two mini-goldendoodles.
